WBC Heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder, will look to make it 40 knockouts in 41 fights this evening (Sat., Dec. 1, 2018) when he collides with the venerable Tyson Fury at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE coverage of the Wilder-Fury main event below. The Showtime Boxing pay-per-view (PPV) begins at 9 p.m. ET, with the main event starting closer to midnight.

Wilder (40-0, 39 KO) passed his stiffest test to date in March, stopping Cuban knockout artist Luis Ortiz after 10 brutal rounds. This will be the eighth defense of his title.

Fury (27-0, 19 KO), meanwhile, once held four different Heavyweight belts after downing Wladimir Klitschko in one of the more surprising upsets in recent years. Mental health issues cost him his titles and kept him out of action for the next two years. He returned in June and has picked up a pair of get-well victories.

Before the four-fight Showtime Boxing PPV main card, which includes the likes of Ortiz and unified Super Welterweight champion Jarrett Hurd, Showtime will feature another top-notch title fight pitting WBC Light Heavyweight Adonis Stevenson against undefeated challenger Oleksandr Gvozdyk.

Round twelve: Good right cross by Fury, but Wilder hits him with a better one that appears to knock Fury all the way out. Fury improbably wakes up in time though and now it’s windmill time. Fury ties up. Wilder throwing for his life. Huge 2-1 from Fury and now it’s Wilder clinching. Again. Wilder’s tired, backing away. Fury starting to open up. Hard combination.
