UFC 230 injuries and medical suspensions for the athletes who competed at “Cormier vs Lewis” last Saturday night (Nov. 3, 2018) from inside Madison square Garden in New York, N.Y., were released earlier this week by New York State Athletic Commission (NSAC).
Leading the way in mandatory sits is Chris Weidman, who was handed a three-month sit after suffering a third round knockout loss to Ronaldo Souza in the co-main event of the evening (see it again here). Ben Saunders was also handed a 90-day sit after suffering a first round knock out to Lyman Good.
But that’s not all, check out who else will be joining them on the medical suspension list courtesy of MMA Fighting.

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases. In addition, not all injuries are recorded during the post-fight examination and often times surface in follow-up tests.
