Tai Tuivasa has quickly made his presence felt inside the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Octagon, reeling off three straight stoppage victories, bringing him to straight eight wins -- all via knockout — in his young mixed martial arts (MMA) career.
His skill and power was on full display at UFC 221 where he faced off against Cyril Asker earlier this year in Australia. After a brief feeling put process, Tai clipped Cyril with a vicious right hand that sent him reeling toward the fence. From there, Asker managed to survive the heavy-handed big man’s onslaught for a few seconds.
After re-centering himself Tuivasa continued to pour it on, connecting with his heavy hands and razor sharp elbows that busted up his foe. To his credit, Cyril took some of Tai’s best shots, but after Tuivasa shoved him down to the ground, the referee felt Asker had endured enough punishment.
Now, Tuivasa will look to collect the biggest win of his career when he faces off agaisnt former Heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos in the main event of UFC Fight Night 142, which is set to go down this Saturday (Dec. 1, 2018) inside Adelaide Entertainment Center in Adelaide, Australia
