With UFC Fight Night 141 in the books (results here), all eyes will be on Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz’s trilogy fight later tonight (Sat. Nov. 24, 2018) live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., as the two former UFC champions collide in the main event of Oscar De La Hoya’s inaugural Golden Boy MMA event.
While Liddell and Ortiz haven’t fought one another since “Iceman” knocked Ortiz out back at UFC 66 nearly 12 years ago, the combat community is still intrigued to see the mixed martial arts (MMA) legends lock horns one more time. And if you aren’t interested in seeing two 40-year-old fighters come out of retirement for a grudge match a decade in the making then maybe you’ll tune in to see how rusty Liddell looks after all this time.
Either way, Liddell vs. Ortiz 3 should command a strong audience later this evening live on PPV. In effort to spark widespread interest FITE.tv has rolled out the final promo video for the main event trilogy bout, which can be seen above in its entirety.
At this point, it’s anyone’s guess what will happen later this evening when Liddell takes on Ortiz for a third and seemingly final time. Either “Iceman” will turn back the clock, shake off eight years of cobwebs, and score a knockout finish in his unlikely return to MMA, or Ortiz will finally get his revenge and put Liddell’s career to rest for good.
