It all goes down tomorrow night (Sat. Nov. 24, 2018) live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., as mixed martial arts (MMA) legends Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz square off for a trilogy fight under the newly-minted Golden Boy MMA promotion.
While Liddell, 48, and Ortiz, 43, are well past their primes, both light heavyweights will be compensated quite nicely for their main event appearances tomorrow night. According to the California State Athletic Commission (via MMA Fighting), Liddell will earn $250,000 for his first MMA appearance in over eight years, while Ortiz banks a cool $200,000 for his first fight since retiring from MMA last year at Bellator 170.
In addition to their salaries, Liddell and Ortiz also stand to get a piece of the PPV revenue. And considering Ortiz has already predicted at least 200,000 PPV buys, both light heavyweights should walk away from their trilogy fight with a fat stack of cash. If all goes well, Liddell and Ortiz could make more money for this fight than they did in any other fight in their respective careers, according to Golden Boy Promotions owner Oscar De La Hoya.
Here are the complete Liddell vs. Ortiz 3 salaries:
