Earlier this week, we shared the announcement that mixed martial arts (MMA) fans would be able to save a bundle, courtesy of today’s Black Friday sale from FITE.tv, and order the Chuck Liddell vs. Tito Ortiz pay-per-view (PPV) event at a discounted price.
Yeah, about that ...
It seems today’s sale has (quietly) been canceled as a result of “contractual restrictions,” which I interpret as Chuck and Tito not wanting their PPV points to be slashed in an effort to move units. That’s probably the sort of thing they should have looked into beforehand, but what’s done is done.
Unfortunately due to contractual restrictions, we are unable to offer the planned Black Friday discount. We apologize.

Career-high paydays don’t come cheap.
Liddell and Ortiz will hook ‘em up for the third and final time this Sat. night (Nov. 24, 2018) inside The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. (full details here), a light heavyweight affair that will mark De La Hoya’s first foray into the cagefighting world.
And depending on how well this card sells, possibly his last.
