Shortly before Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) holds its ceremonial weigh in event for tomorrow night’s UFC 230 fight card, the promotion will stage a special press conference TODAY at 5 p.m. ET for the upcoming UFC 232 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which will go down Dec. 29, 2018, inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Leading the charge will be UFC President Dana White, alongside headliners Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson. “Bones” won their first go-round in the UFC 165 main event roughly five years back and “The Mauler” is looking to get some payback.
He (and Jones) can also capture the 205-pound crown in the process, which is expected to be stripped from current division titleholder, Daniel Cormier, as “DC” is staying put at heavyweight to defend that belt against Derrick Lewis and if successful, Brock Lesnar.
Also on hand for today’s festivities are reigning women’s featherweight champion, Cris Cyborg, and current women’s bantamweight titleholder, Amanda Nunes. “Cyborg” welcomes “Lioness” to the 145-pound weight class in a champion vs. champion “super fight.”
