Ricardo Lamas got himself out of a two-fight hole last night (Sat., Nov. 17, 2018) at UFC Fight Night 140 live on FOX Sports 1 from inside Parque Roca Arena in Buenos Aires, Argentina, when he took out the ultra-durable Darren Elkins via third-round TKO (punches).
Lamas looked tremendous in this co-main event fight. He outpointed “Damage” at almost every turn and badly hurt the veteran with vicious lead leg kicks. Lamas put an end to the madness in the third round when he blasted Elkins with elbows and hammer fists from top position, forcing the referee to step in for the stoppage.

With this performance, Lamas gets back into the 145-pound win column and shows that he can still dominate the Octagon at 36 years of age. The former featherweight title challenger has a long way to go before he positions himself for another run at UFC gold, but a finish over a fighter like “Damage” will go a long way for Lamas entering 2019.
