Bellator 209 “Pitbull vs. Sanchez” airs Nov. 16, 2018 on Paramount Network. The tape delayed event will feature “Pitbull” Patricio Freire (27-4) defending his Featherweight title against Emmanuel Sanchez (17-3) in the main event.
While some of you may have seen this bout by the time you are reading this (particularly those of you who were in Tel Aviv, Israel to attend live) there’s no time to delay for Bellator MMA in announcing the renewal of their partnership with Monster Energy for three more years.
Bellator President Scott Coker is thrilled to share the news.
“The partnership with Monster Energy has been an important component of our business since day one. They have played a factor in our success and we are thrilled to announce this new three-year extension. The hard work and passion that Hans Molenkamp and the rest of their team have for this sport is unmatched. We look forward to new and exciting opportunities for our brand, fighters and fans that this continued relationship brings to the table.”
Monster Energy Vice President of Sports Marketing Mitch Covington is just as excited by the renewal of this cross-promotional relationship.
“Bellator delivers compelling, high-action, adrenaline-pumping MMA events worldwide. We are thrilled to continue our longtime partnership and look forward to evolving our relationship even further, allowing us to further integrate the Monster Energy and Bellator brands.”
That partnership has included exclusive “Monster Energy Fight Series” events at motor racing events across the country, often featuring regional fighters looking for a shot to impress Bellator and make it onto a card on Paramount (and now DAZN).
