There used to be a time when Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) color commentator, Joe Rogan, was calling every televised live event, including those on FOX and FOX Sports 1. But in the twilight of his career, the former Fear Factor host can provide similar sound bites from the comfort of his podcast chair.
Alongside regulars Brendan Schaub and Eddie Bravo.
That includes the UFC Fight Night 139 mixed martial arts (MMA) event, which took place last Sat. night (Nov. 10, 2018) inside Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. The headlining act featured Yair Rodriguez flatlining Chan Sung Jung with just one second left in the fight (watch it).
Rogan, much like the rest of us, was aghast at the buzzer-beating finish.
The stoppage was good enough to earn two post-fight bonuses for Rodriguez. “Fight of the Night” for his five-round war, and Knockout of the Night “Performance of the Night” for his no-look elbow that put “Korean Zombie” on ice.
