After nearly 18 months on the sidelines, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight phenom, Yair Rodriguez, made his triumphant return to mixed martial arts (MMA), burying “Korean Zombie” in the UFC Fight Night 139 main event.
Watch the insane, buzzer-beating finish right here.
But now that “Pantera” is back — and back in the winning column — he can expect to have a much bigger target on his back. Including the one affixed by fellow 145-pound wunderkind, Zabit Magomedsharipov.
Will he ever call my name?? Or should I move on?? @seanshelby @danawhite @ufc https://t.co/zkSBusDKOS

I guess Magomedsharipov missed the callout from last September, when Rodriguez asked “ZaBeast” to put his desire to fight Chad Mendes on the back burner. Coming into UFC Denver, the Dagestani grappler was ranked No. 14 in the division, one ahead of “Pantera” at No. 15.
Magomedsharipov and Rodriguez were expected to face off at the UFC 228 pay-per-view (PPV) event just a few months back; however, “Pantera” suffered an untimely injury and was replaced by Brandon Davis. “Killer B” succumbed to a second-round kneebar.
Do you, as a fan, still want to see Magomedsharipov vs. Rodriguez?
