Submission! Watch Donald Cerrone break UFC record, finish Mike Perry in Denver

Donald Cerrone made UFC history last night (Sat., Nov. 10, 2018) at UFC Fight Night 139 live on FOX Sports 1 from inside Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado, when he submitted Mike Perry in the first round to become the all-time leader in wins (21) and finishes (15).

The bad blood between Cerrone and Perry finally boiled over into the Octagon and “Cowboy” took full control. After Perry secured a sneaky takedown late into the first round Cerrone was able to move into position and threw up a nasty armbar attempt. “Platinum” defended the best he could, but Cerrone cranked on his arm with every intention of ripping it off. Perry had nothing left to do but tap.

With this performance, Cerrone gets back into the win column after losing a decision to welterweight contender Leon Edwards back in June. The 35-year-old is already talking about a move back down to 155 pounds so we’ll see if “Cowboy” can parlay this record-breaking win into another successful run at lightweight. Cerrone has his sights set on current champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, but he may have to go through a stable of killers to get there,
