Dana White wants us to believe that UFC 229, which takes place tonight (Sat., Oct. 6, 2018) inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, is the biggest event in the promotion’s history. This very well might be true because it’s headlined by Conor McGregor, who will attempt to once again become Lightweight champion, squaring off against Khabib Nurmagomedov in the pay-per-view (PPV) main event. Even though this is a must-watch event, there are some who won’t be able — or willing — to pay the $65 fee to access the PPV main card portion of this event.
That’s the reason I’ve decided to use my purchase of the event to provide you with a radio style play-by-play broadcast of the violence hidden behind the paywall. I might be uglier than a Mario Yamasaki late stoppage, but throughout the entirety of UFC 229’s PPV main card I will be doing my best to keep fight fans informed on the weird, miraculous and jaw- dropping live action starting at 10 p.m. ET in the video player above.
Here’s what’s in store tonight with UFC 229’s PPV main card:
155 lbs.: Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregor
155 lbs.: Tony Ferguson vs. Anthony Pettis
205 lbs.: Ovince Saint Preux vs. Dominick Reyes
265 lbs.: Derrick Lewis vs. Alexander Volkov
115 lbs.: Michelle Waterson vs. Felice Herrig
