Conor McGregor isn’t the only guy carrying around fake belts at UFC 229.
Former interim lightweight champ Tony Ferguson also brought his stripped belt along with him to Las Vegas, and he hung the gold over his shoulder for face-offs this afternoon during a UFC media event.
Ferguson’s interim lightweight title was declared null and void following Khabib Nurmagomedov won the undisputed belt at UFC 223, a situation Tony has expressed a decent amount of frustration over. He’s promised to take that out on Pettis, but for now they’re being pretty civil.

Past that, Ferguson and Pettis were both perfect gentlemen, shaking hands and keeping things pretty relaxed for the staredown.
