Conor McGregor isn’t done landing multi-million dollar deals just yet.
A few weeks after re-upping on a new “breathtaking” deal with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) that will see him compete inside the Octagon for at least six more fights, “Notorious” also renewed his sponsorship deal with Monster Energy. According to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, the “lucrative” agreement puts him on the same level as some of the biggest sports stars today.
McGregor’s initial deal was worth 50k for a year. “We stick by our athletes,” Molenkamp said. He added it’s one of the more lucrative deals the company has done with an athlete.— Ariel Helwani (@arielhelwani) October 4, 2018
It certainly won’t be the last lucrative sponsorship deal Conor signs, as he has no plans on letting up anytime soon thanks to his extension with UFC. When he’s not joining forces with Fortune 500 companies, he’s putting in the work to build his own brand, including releasing his very own whiskey, as well as his upcoming line of custom-made suits.
Indeed, Conor has changed the marketing game in mixed martial arts (MMA) and could very well be on pace to make Lorenzo Fertitta look like Nostradamus.
The fiery (and very rich) Irishman will look to cash in once again this Saturday night (Oct. 6, 2018) as he makes his long-awaited return to the UFC Octagon after a two-year hiatus to face current Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
By the way, Conor’s Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey will be on full display on the Octagon mat thanks to scoring yet another agreement that will help him bring home even more bacon.
