Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight star, Stephan Bonnar, was arrested yesterday (Sun., Oct. 28, 2018) in Las Vegas, Nevada, for Driving Under the Influence (DUI). Indeed, thanks to some outstanding citizens, the ex-mixed martial arts (MMA) star’s vehicle was surrounded and prevented from moving any further before police took over.
And now we have his mugshot thanks to Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Per the report, Stephan was driving recklessly along Interstate 15 and exceeding speeds of 90 miles per hour. Once alerted, Nevada State troopers acted fast and were ultimately were able to apprehend the incoherent fighter. Bonnar, though, reportedly did not go easy, resisting arrest before the handcuffs were eventually locked in.
Bonnar is facing a felony charge after this latest incident because it marks the third time he was has been arrested for DUI.
Bonnar is currently in custody and had his bail set for $22,000. The ex-UFC standout is scheduled for a hearing on Nov. 26, 2018. He last competed at Bellator 131, losing a split-decision to Tito Ortiz back in 2014. The defeat was his second straight, with his last win coming way back in 2011.
