Cormier: If Brock Lesnar storms the cage at UFC 230, I’ll slap him in the face

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight title contender, Derrick Lewis, is planning to dive bomb former 265-pound titleholder, Brock Lesnar, if the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar shows his face at UFC 230.

That’s likely to start yet another post-fight pay-per-view (PPV) melee, similar to the one that unfolded between Khabib Nurmagomedov and members of the Conor McGregor crew earlier this month at UFC 229 in Las Vegas.

And if you were expecting Daniel Cormier, who meets Lewis in the UFC 230 main event inside Madison Square Garden in New York City, to take the high road while championing sportsmanship and professionalism ... you’re likely to be disappointed.

“I heard Brock Lesnar will be at The Garden for UFC 230,” Cormier told the gang at Busted Open Radio on SiriusXM. “If he tries to step into that cage again, I’m going to slap him in his face. I owe him one from last time.”

Lesnar stormed the cage in the wake of Cormier’s UFC 226 title win over Stipe Miocic last July, then shoved “DC” to set up a potential showdown in early 2019. That match up could be spoiled if Lewis upsets the 265-pound apple cart.

That said, I wouldn't be opposed to watching “Black Beast” battle the “Jacked White Boy” if Cormier goes to sleep in the “Big Apple.” To get up to speed on that fight, as well as the rest of the UFC 230 happenings, click here.
