So it turns out that wack job arrested over the political package bombs has been cruising around the streets of South Florida with an American Top Team (ATT) sticker plastered all across his back window, right alongside those snapshots of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama with bullseyes overlapping their faces.
They say there’s no such thing as bad publicity, but I’d reckon owner Dan Lambert and his squad would be okay if Cesar Sayoc Jr., 56, had opted to leave the name of one of the world’s most famous mixed martial arts (MMA) gyms off his ivory mystery machine.
For those of you not following along (and I don’t blame you), Sayoc Jr. has been accused of mailing explosives to select political figures who oppose President Donald Trump, including Sen. Cory Booker, as well as former U.S. Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper.
“He’s always been a little bit of a loose cannon,” his cousin told NBC News. “He’s always been a lost soul. Too many steroids in his day. That stuff will melt your brain.”
Sayoc Jr., who was arrested for theft in 1992 and then again in 2014, pleaded guilty to bomb-related charges back in 2002. Authorities were able to recover a fingerprint on one of the packages, leading to his arrest.
Currently charged with five federal crimes, the aging Floridian could face up to 48 years in prison if convicted; however, it should be noted that Sayoc Jr. is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
