It’s a battle of Top 10 light heavyweight contenders as Ilir Latifi and Corey Anderson will hook ‘em up at the upcoming UFC 232 pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for Sat., Dec. 29, 2018 inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Latifi (14-5, 1 NC) earned his spot at No. 4 by winning five of his last six, including back-to-back victories over Tyson Pedro and Ovince Saint Preux. The 35 year-old “Sledgehammer” has 10 finishes in 14 wins.
As for Anderson (11-4), he clocked in at No. 7 by securing consecutive wins over Patrick Cummins and Glover Teixeira. Winner of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 19, “Overtime” has yet to score a submission victory in 15 trips to the cage.
UFC 232 will be headlined by the light heavyweight title fight pitting Jon Jones opposite Alexander Gustafsson. Elsewhere on the card, Cris Cyborg welcomes Amanda Nunes to the 145-pound division in a champion vs. champion super fight.
