Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) somethingweight Nate Diaz is “back in action,” according to an Instagram photo he uploaded on Monday. But what’s interesting about his social media pic is the fact that he’s wearing boxing gloves.
Could Diaz be close to his debut in the sweet science?
Probably not, but at this point, I’m sure combat sports fans would be happy to See Diaz return in just about any role, mixed martial arts (MMA) or otherwise. The contending lightweight, who also moonlights at welterweight, has not been seen since August 2016, falling to Conor McGregor by way of close unanimous decision.
Since then, Diaz has been open to a “Notorious” rematch, but his asking price — coupled with the business McGregor needs to handle at 155 pounds — has made their rubber match unlikely for 2018.
