There was a time when Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight slugger, Mark Hunt, could barely make the heavyweight limit, clomping around north of 300 pounds despite standing just 5’10”.
What a difference a few years makes.
“The Super Samoan” appears to be on a super diet heading into his Curtis Blaydes fight, which takes place at the upcoming UFC 221 pay-per-view (PPV) event in Perth, Australia, on Feb. 10, 2018.
Better late than never.
The soon-to-be 44 year-old Hunt (13-11-1, 1 NC) is looking to capitalize on last June’s technical knockout win over Derrick Lewis, which led to some mandatory rest after a dispute about the vitality of his grey matter.

As for Blaydes (8-1, 1 NC), who racked up consecutive wins over Daniel Omielanczuk and Alexey Oleynik, he’ll have to watch out for the leaner limbs of Hunt, a standout kickboxer prior to his transition to mixed martial arts (MMA).
