Video: Watch Conor McGregor torch wannabe dragsters in Dublin street race

Zoom! Zoom!

The people of Ireland I love you ❤

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Conor McGregor, given a doomsday clock for his 155-pound title reign, was recently spotted cruising around town in his yellow Lamborghini, because nothing screams “inconspicuous” like a $250,000 sports car.

Let’s just hope he owns this one so he can avoid another incident like this.

And if you’re thinking “Bro, you’re just jealous” I say to you, “No shit, Sherlock.” Just as I’m sure those “Notorious” fans were envious when they got a few minutes to chat with their hometown hero — before they got dusted.

Badly.

And yes, it counts as a race because they were punching it in hopes of catching up ... or at least keeping him in view, neither of which were attainable. I’m sure McGregor was on his way to the gym for a late night workout.

Can’t imagine why he’s always in court for speeding tickets.

“He’s back training almost everyday now,” Kavanagh told BBC North Ireland. “I think 2018 will be another big year for us. Exactly what that is, I don’t know yet. The boxing was a nice detour from what we’ve done, but mixed martial arts is my passion. If I have anything to do with it, he’ll be in the Octagon this year.”

I’ll believe it when I see it.

Until then. interim titleholder Tony Ferguson is expected to defend his substitute strap against division No. 1 contender Khabib Nurmagomedov, though a date and venue have yet to be finalized.

Stay tuned.
