Video: Watch shirtless, buff Floyd Mayweather jump into the Octagon amid rumors of UFC debut

Ever wonder what it would look like to see retired boxing icon Floyd Mayweather Jr. inside the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Octagon?

Wonder no more.

“Money” was back on Instagram this week to troll the combat sports world, once again fueling rumors that a potential transition to mixed martial arts (MMA) is possible. Sure, Mayweather turns 41 in less than a month and never trained jiu-jitsu a day in his life, but that (unfortunately) didn’t stop this guy.

The undefeated pugilist has long teased a career in MMA, only to back off said tease when promoters started calling in offers. I’m not sure what’s to gain with this latest stunt, but Mayweather has been loosely attached to a Conor McGregor rematch under MMA rules.

I’ll believe it when I see it.

Though to be fair, we’re almost as likely to see Mayweather inside the cage as we are McGregor, who appears to be in no rush to make his UFC return. Maybe he’s just waiting for the right opportunity?

Or maybe he’s just too rich to care anymore.
