Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White is a “good fucking friend” of former women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, so it should not come as a surprise to learn he supports her transition to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
Watch her Royal Rumble debut right here.
“I’m very happy for her,” White told Adam Hill of Las Vegas Review-Journal. “She loves pro wrestling and has always been a big fan so I know how much his means to her. She keeps accomplishing everything she’s ever wanted.”
Not quite everything, but pretty damn close.
After suffering back-to-back knockout losses to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes, “Rowdy” took some time away from mixed martial arts (MMA) before deciding to pursue her childhood passion of pro wrestling.
I guess this was enough to whet her appetite.
No word yet on what her role will be inside the ring, but no doubt she’s a lock for WrestleMania 34 in April. After that, it will take some time to work her into a regular program.
Not like she has anything better to do (sorry Mr. Browne).
