Promising featherweight prospect Cory Sandhagen made good on his Octagon debut earlier tonight (Sat., Jan. 27, 2018) at UFC on FOX 27 from inside the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, when he put an absolute beating on “Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series” veteran Austin Arnett.
It was all Sandhagen from the opening bell. The Colorado native took every angle he could, remained mobile, displayed great versatility in his strikes, and started to land at will. After hurting Arnett with a nasty liver shot in the second round, Sandhagen started to throw countless knees along the cage. One last punch to the body and Arnett toppled over in pain for the TKO finish.

With this performance, Sandhagen bursts onto the UFC scene in fashion. The kid looked tremendous in his debut but will have to keep evolving if he’s going to make noise in a jam-packed featherweight division. This was his third-straight knockout finish.
