Talented welterweight prospect Niko Price ruined the return of veteran George Sullivan earlier tonight (Sat., Jan. 27, 2018) at UFC on FOX 27 from inside the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, when he finished “Silencer” via rear-naked choke in the second round.
Despite a lengthy layoff due to suspension, Sullivan pushed the pace early. He had Price hurt on the feet and even scored a takedown to earn some valuable ground-and-pound. Unfortunately, Sullivan was not able to stop Price from transitioning from bottom and eventually working towards Sullivan’s back. Sullivan did whatever he could to defend the choke, but Price made the finish look easy.

With this performance, Price gets back into the win column after getting choked out by Vicente Luque back in October. The 28-year-old now has three Octagon finishes since his debut in 2016 and may warrant a top 15 opponent his next time out.
