Before Ronaldo Souza attempts to pick up win number two against Derek Brunson at this weekend’s (Sat., Jan. 27, 2018) UFC on FOX 27 event inside the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, take a look back at one of “Jacare’s” most dominant performances inside the Octagon.
Back in February of 2017, the Brazilian bomber found himself staring down Tim Boetsch at UFC 208. Obviously, “The Barbarian” tried his best to keep he fight standing, which lasted all of two minutes, as Souza eventually used his grappling to take his foe to the ground.
Once there, it was all she wrote, as it took “Jacare” no time to get in position to sink in a fight-ending kimura, as Boetsch had no other option but to tap or risk tearing some ligaments or even having some bones snapped.
After losing in his next outing to Robert Whittaker, Souza looks to get back on track against a man he knows very well, as he holds a 41-second knockout victory over Brunson under the Strikeforce banner.
