EA Sports UFC 3: Preview ‘Knockout Mode’ featuring Snoop Dogg on commentary (Video)

Chin and juice?

EA Sports is inching closer to its release of EA Sports UFC 3, the latest installment in the mixed martial arts (MMA) video game franchise, expected for release on Feb. 2, 2018, on Xbox ONE and PlayStation 4 home consoles.

This recently released preview gives fight fans a sneak peek at “Knockout Mode,” commentated by rap legend Snoop Dogg, who is beloved by most — but not all — folks in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) family.

I guess the suits at EA were super impressed with this audition.

Here’s how “Knockout Mode” works:

The rules to Knockout Mode are simple. Both players start with the same amount of health but with each devastating shot landed the health bar decreases. Once you get your opponent down to one health bar get ready to Finish the Fight because the next shot you land will be a KO.

Fans will also be able to play other modes including Fight Now, Online Quick Fight, Practice Mode and UFC Ultimate Team. As with every successive release, the promise of better graphics, more realistic gameplay, and smoother controls are advertised reasons to upgrade.

Pre-ordering the Champions Edition gets you access to the full game three days earlier, as well as the option to choose one of the following: former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, former UFC women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk, UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor, UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson or UFC middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre.
