Former Bellator MMA broadcaster Jimmy Smith will make his color commentary debut at the upcoming UFC 221 pay-per-view (PPV) event, airing Sat., Feb. 10, 2018 from inside Perth Arena in Perth, Australia.
That’s according to his recent announcement on Twitter.
Smith, who joined Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) earlier this month, is not here to take the place of Joe Rogan, who lobbied to get Smith on the team after the Viacom-owned promotion decided to send him packing.
He will anyway, at least “Down Under,” because Rogan no longer travels to international events as part of his reworked contract.
UFC 221 will feature a middleweight main event between Luke Rockhold and Yoel Romero, who battle for the interim strap while reigning champion Robert Whittaker recovers from Staph infection.
Elsewhere on the card, hometown hero Mark Hunt returns to throw hands with heavyweight bruiser Curtis Blaydes. You can see the latest and greatest UFC “Perth” fight card and line up by clicking here.
