Bellator 192: “Jackson vs. Sonnen” came to The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. on Jan. 20, 2018. As you might surmise from the event’s name, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Chael Sonnen headlined the card, with Sonnen wrestling his way to a unanimous decision win over three rounds.

Although the victory advances Sonnen to the second round of the Heavyweight Grand Prix and a potential showdown with Frank Mir or Fedor Emelianenko, Jackson couldn’t be less impressed with how Sonnen achieved that victory, given he begged Sonnen to not hump his way to victory.

Whether or not Sonnen fought like a female dog in Jackson’s eyes, he still got the “W” and scored mic time with “Big” John McCarthy after the fight to deliver a typical Sonnen promo.

“God made six billion men and none of them are as tough as Chael Sonnen. Frank Mir and Fedor Emelianenko, neither of you is the best, but one of you is NEXT. I have no preference, I have the biggest arms, I have the greatest charm, and I do all the harm. One on one, two on one or five on one I’ll make them ALL, need NINE ONE ONE.”

Actually that’s seven billion, Mr. Sonnen, but who’s counting? Let “The American Gangster” say what he wants. Winners talk and fight another day, losers talk and hope to get another fight.
