If the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA) was more popular than boxing, then promoters of the “sweet science” would be trying to get into MMA, not the other way around.

Oh, wait...

So by that logic, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White is admitting that his sport is inferior, because he’s vigorously pursuing heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua under the new ZUFFA Boxing banner.

That's according to Top Rank CEO and UFC hater lover Bob Arum.

"By coming in the business, he is really admitting that boxing is the more popular sport,” Arum told TMZ. “And in order to keep his company alive, he has to go into the boxing business. If he puts up enough money, he certainly will land the (Joshua) fight. It's all a question of the money ... particularly in the heavyweight division."

Money talks and “Notorious” walks.

There is no timetable for ZUFFA’s first boxing event, but White and Co. recently met with Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his “Money” team to compare notes. One thing is for certain, we won't be seeing anyone from Golden Boy taking part.

Especially if they’re serving Pepsi.
