Bellator 192: “Lima vs. MacDonald” storms The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., this Saturday night (Jan. 20, 2018), featuring a Welterweight title match between division champion Douglas Lima (29-6) against No. 1-ranked contender Rory MacDonald (19-4).
The main event, though, is equal in proportion — but physically larger in size — when former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) stars Chael Sonnen (30-15-1) and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (37-12) collide in a Heavyweight tilt. This intriguing match will kick off the promotion’s Heavyweight Grand Prix as the first bout of an eight-man tournament to crown a new champion. The next bracket will feature a Matt Mitrione (12-5) and Roy “Big Country” Nelson (23-14) fight on Feb. 16, 2018 — a rematch five years in the making.
“Rampage” and Sonnen dish about their bout in the second installment (watch the debut episode here) of this three-part series from Bellator MMA and Paramount Network to promote the fight.
