Apparently, Marco Polo Reyes isn’t a fan of decisions.
After the first five bouts of UFC Fight Night 124 went the distance, “El Toro” decided it was time to give fight fans a finish. And boy did he deliver. In what was a wild bout from the opening bell, Reyes and Matt Frevola came in guns blazing in St. Louis.
Both men came out swinging heavy leather, with Polo getting the better of the exchanges, clipping Frevola with a clean left in the first 15 seconds that popped his mouthpiece out. Four seconds later, Reyes dropped his foe with a flurry of punches, though he managed to get up to his feet rather quickly.
After a brief stop in action to allow Frevola to get his mouthpiece back in, Reyes picked right back up where he left off, piecing up Matt with one hard shot after another. To his credit, Frevola stood tough and offered up his own strikes before Reyes clipped him with a one-hitter quitter to put an end to a wild, one-minute fight.
Talk about making a statement. Reyes gets back into the win column while Frevola comes up ever-so short in his official Octagon debut.
