Leaving so soon?
After beating the brakes off lightweight striker Edson Barboza at UFC 219 last Saturday (see it again here), Khabib Nurmagomedov made it known he was gunning for a title shot against either division kingpin Conor McGregor or interim champion Tony Ferguson.
And just in case Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White didn't hear him, Khabib camped out by his car following the pay-per-view (PPV) event to have a word. And he came bearing gifts, apparently.
Khabib's dominant win over Edson moved him to 25-0, including winning nine straight inside the Octagon. His next fight is widely expected to be for one of the two 155-pound titles floating around.
But judging by Conor's harsh criticism of Khabib's "dog shit" performance, it seems he will have to settle for an interim title scrap against Ferguson at some point later this year.
Assuming "El Cucuy" doesn't bolt to welterweight.
