Report: Donald Cerrone to fight Darren Till in UFC Gdansk main event

'Cowboy' Cerrone returns to the cage to headline the UFC's return to Poland on October 21st.

UFC Gdansk may finally have a main event.

The Polish event, set to go down in six weeks, was originally going to be headlined by Thiago Santos vs. newcomer and popular local Michal Materla before Materla decided to resign with Polish MMA promotion KSW instead. Now the event is on the verge of a pretty decent replacement fight: Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone vs. UK fighter Darren Till.

The fight has been heavily rumored online, and Till just posted a photo on social media showing him signing a contract.

"Send me it and I sign it. I'll fight any cunt," he wrote.

As for which cunt, all signs point towards Donald Cerrone, who recently lost a welterweight contender fight with Robbie Lawler at the end of July. Before that he suffered a TKO loss to Jorge Masvidal in January, making 2017 one of the least active years ever for "Cowboy." But with 16 events in 18 weeks, it's unsurprising that the UFC would pick up the phone and call Cerrone to fill a hole at the top of the cards.

On the other side of the cage, Darren Till is undefeated at 15-0-1 and just came off a decision victory over Bojan Velickovic at UFC Rotterdam. His fights tend to turn into exciting scraps, which would explain why he's getting the short turnaround call to face Cerrone in what we're sure will be an enjoyable scrap for Polish MMA fans.

The rest of the UFC Gdansk card as it stands:

Artem Lobov vs. Andre Fili
Jan Blachowicz vs. Devin Clark
Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs. Jodie Esquibel
Trevor Smith vs. Ramazan Emeev
Jonathan Wilson vs. Oskar Piechota
Dmitrii Smoliakov vs. Adam Wieczorek
