Unlike Child’s Play 2, Chucky is not back.

That’s according to comments from Bellator MMA President Scott Coker while forecasting the future for his bustling mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion on Spike TV. A future that includes Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) import Michael McDonald.

“Mayday” — who jumped ship back in March — is expected to make his Bellator debut on Dec. 15 inside Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, England, according to MMA Junkie, though an opponent has yet to be revealed.

McDonald (17-4) has not won consecutive fights in over five years, competing sporadically during that span due to recurring injuries.

As for Liddell (21-8), the recent chatter about fighting Chael Sonnen hasn’t gotten “The Iceman” any closer to an actual return. In fact, Coker insists the former UFC light heavyweight champion, now 48, came on board for promotional purposes, not fisticuffs, and a conversation about a 2018 comeback has yet to take place.

“He’d have to go through a battery of tests, and it would be a longer process than he would be fighting in January,” Coker told MMA Junkie. “I’ve got to reach out and see if (Liddell would) like to do some fan fest stuff for us and be in the community, but that’s it. There’s no fight for him.”
