Put up or shut up! Tony Ferguson vs Kevin Lee UFC 216 interim title fight video preview

New, comments

Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee will fight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight title at UFC 216, which is set to go down from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 7, 2017.

And this potential record-breaking championship fight won’t be bumping it from headlining duties.

Both Ferguson and Lee are two of the hottest 155-pound fighters in the game today, as “El Cucuy” has managed to reel off nine straight wins inside the Octagon, winning 12 of 13 overall inside the eight-sided cage.

As for Lee, he is the proud owner of a five-fight winning streak, winning nine of his 11 fights under the UFC banner, including his most recent submission victory over Michael Chiesa.

The title fight will be both men’s first opportunity to capture UFC gold -- though some aren’t too thrilled with the matchmaking — and perhaps secure a big-money championship showdown against none other than Conor McGregor.

Aside form a co-main event title fight between Demetrious Johnson and Ray Borg, UFC 216 will also feature a hard-hitting heavyweight matchup between Derrick Lewis and Fabricio Werdum.
