Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently added an interesting lightweight fight to its upcoming UFC 217 blockbuster pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for Sat., Nov. 4, 2017 inside Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Joe Duffy vs. James Vick.
Duffy (16-2) is coming off back-to-back wins at UFC Fight Night 90 and UFC Fight Night 107. After choking out Mitch Clarke in summer 2016, “Irish Joe” captured a unanimous decision win over Reza Madadi the following March.
Vick (11-1) is also coming off consecutive wins, thanks to standout performances at UFC Fight Night 104 and UFC 211. “The Texecutioner” submitted Abel Trujillo last February, then planished Marco Polo Reyes just a few months later.
Fun fight. Who ya’ got?
UFC 217 will be headlined by the middleweight title fight pitting Michael Bisping against the returning Georges St-Pierre. In the bantamweight championship co-main event, Cody Garbrandt looks to settle his grudge match with former teammate TJ Dillashaw.
