Despite starting off on the right foot earlier tonight (Sat., Sept. 23, 2017) at Bellator 183 live on Spike TV from inside SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., former UFC welterweight Lorenz Larkin ultimately ran into trouble against proven knockout artist Paul Daley.
Larkin was able to land damage in the first round on the heels of snapping leg kicks and straight right hands, but that offensive success ended in the second frame when “Semtex” decided to unleash his own assault. After a spinning back elbow glanced the back of Larkin’s head Daley landed a follow-up left hook that stiffened “Monsoon” like a statue. Daley would add a few more insurance on the ground before the referee jumped in for the knockout stoppage.

With this win, Daley regains some divisional momentum after getting choked out by Rory MacDonald back in May. The 33-year-old veteran remains as dangerous as ever and really only needs another win or two to land on the doorstep of a title shot. Until then, a potential matchup with fellow Englishman Michael Page should keep Daley busy.
