UFC Pittsburgh loses bantamweight bout due to illness

MMA: UFC Fight Night-Arantes vs Sanders Joshua Dahl-USA TODAY Sports

Maybe this card is cursed?

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) scratched the bantamweight bout between Felipe Arantes and Luke Sanders, previously scheduled for UFC Fight Night 116 tomorrow night (Sat., Sept. 16, 2017) inside PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The decision was made on Thursday night.

“Due to illness, Felipe Arantes has been forced to withdraw from his UFC Fight Night bout against Luke Sanders this Saturday in Pittsburgh,” the official statement read. “There will be no replacement fight, and the card will proceed as scheduled with 10 bouts.”

No word yet if the bout will be rescheduled for a future event.
