UFC ‘Pittsburgh’ video preview: Watch David Branch topple Krzysztof Jotko at UFC 211

Before David Branch steps into the Octagon to face Luke Rockhold in the main event of UFC Fight Night 116 this weekend (Sat., Sept. 16, 2017) inside PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pa., let’s take a trip down memory lane to see David’s successful return to the Octagon.

Back in May of this year, Branch found himself staring down Krzysztof Jotko at the stacked UFC 211 pay-per-view (PPV) event in Dallas, Texas, in what marked David’s first fight inside the eight-sided cage in six years. After dominating World Series of Fighting (WSOF) to the tune of capturing both the Light Heavyweight and Middleweight straps, David found that UFC still had the stiffer competition.

After 15 minutes of back-and-forth action that saw both men have their shining moments, Branch narrowly escaped “Big D” with a split decision win. Now, David will look for an even more convincing win as he faces perhaps the most seasoned fighter to date in the former of a former 185-pound UFC champion.

With a win, David can catapult himself up the Middleweight rankings in the hopes of trying to add yet another world title to his mantle.
