16-year-old Summer Church has been charged in the shooting death of professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Aaron Rajman, alongside accomplices Roberto Ortiz, 19, and Jace Swinton, 18, following last July’s home invasion in West Palm Beach, Florida.
All three are expected to be hit with charges of first-degree murder and could face the death penalty if convicted.
Church will be tried as an adult.
“This was no random act of violence,” said State Attorney Dave Aronberg. “Mr. Rajman was targeted by these defendants, and we intend to seek justice for the victim and his family.”
Following his 8-1 run on the amateur circuit, Rajman, 25, turned pro and compiled a 2-2 record while training out of the famed American Top Team (ATT) fight camp in Coconut Creek.
He last competed at House of Fame 5: “Resurrection Day” back in May 2016.
In addition to murder-one, the trio will also be charged with two counts of armed home invasion with a firearm.
