Glover Teixiera vs. Misha Cirkunov set for UFC Fight Night 119 on Oct. 28 in Sao Paulo

A pair pf hard-hitting Light Heavyweights will look to get back into the win column when Glover Teixeira and Misha Cirkunov square off at the upcoming UC Fight Night 119 event on October 28, 2017 in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Fox Sports 1.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) announced the matchup during last night’s (Sat., Aug. 5, 2017) UFC Fight Night 114 event in Mexico City, Mexico.

Glover is coming of a knockout loss to a resurgent Alexander Gustafsson this past May, which was the first time anyone has ever stopped the heavy-handed Brazilian. The loss was also Teixeira’s second in last three outings.

As for Misha, he suffered his firs Octagon loss and first in over five years when he was knocked out by Volkan Oezdemir at UFC Fight Night 109, the same night Glover had his clock cleaned.

Both men have the ability to end the fight at the blink of an eye, and a win for either will get them back on track to the winning ways they have grown accustomed to. A loss, however, could send them tumbling down the rankings and dig them in a deeper hole that could be tough to climb out of in the highly-competitive 205-pound weight class.
