Just when fight fans thought the finishes would wind down earlier tonight (Sat., Aug. 5, 2017) at UFC Fight Night 114 live on FOX Sports 1 from inside Arena Ciudad de México in Mexico City, Mexico, veteran Dustin Ortiz scores the fastest finish in UFC flyweight history. It took just 15 seconds for Ortiz to drop Hector Sandoval with a right hand and smash the Mexican flyweight with another strike on his way down to the canvas. Ortiz ate a combination when the bell first rang, but would not be denied the ultra-fast knockout stoppage.

With this win, Ortiz jumps back into the win column after getting choked out by UFC Fight Night 114 headliner Brandon Moreno back in April. Ortiz has always been considered a relevant contender at 125 pounds, but will probably draw closer to title contention if his hands continue to land like this.
