Hey, remember that scene in Pat Benatar’s “Love is a Battlefield” video when she throws a drink in that pimp’s face? This was kind of like that, but instead of a sexy flash mob, we got two heavyweight kickboxers brawling in France.
Front and center is former K-1 hustler Bob Sapp, 43, who rose to fame by crushing cans on the Japanese circuit. To be fair, “The Beast” did have some legitimate kickboxing wins over top names like Ernesto Hoost, but he finished his mixed martial arts (MMA) career with an 11-20 record, losing his last 14 fights — all by way of knockout or submission.
How many of those were dives is unclear, but some of the footage speaks for itself.
He’ll be facing Greg Tony, 39, at Fight Night Saint Tropez later tonight (Aug. 4, 2017) for reasons nobody cares about, and their brouhaha got started at the official weigh ins when Sapp got a face full of diet cola.
Like Forrest Gump once said, that’s all I got to say about that.
