UFC Fight Night 114 video: Watch Rashad Evans obliterate Chuck Liddell in ‘KO of the Week’

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans will try to patch a sinking ship tomorrow night (Sat., Aug. 5, 2017) at UFC Fight Night 114 live on FOX Sports 1 from inside Arena Ciudad de México in Mexico City, Mexico, when he meets Sam Alvey in his second appearance at middleweight. Evans is coming off a split-decision loss to Daniel Kelly back at UFC 209 and is desperately trying to prove he can still hang at 37 years of age.

In order to prepare fight fans for Evans’ clash with Alvey, UFC featured “Suga” in the most recent edition of “KO of the Week.” This time, the action focuses around Evans and his 2008 knockout of UFC legend Chuck Liddell. Coming into his main event clash with “The Iceman” at UFC 88, Evans had racked off five wins in six Octagon appearances at 205 pounds. In a split of a second, the New York native cracked Liddell with an all-time great right hand that slumped the former champion. It was just the third time Liddell had ever been finished by strikes in his UFC career and ultimately a victory for Evans that propelled him into a title fight with then champion Forrest Griffin (a matchup that Evans would win via TKO).

If Evans can get back to his old form and settle in at 185 pounds like he did at light heavyweight for nearly 10 years, he could really throw a wrench into the top 10 heading into 2018.
