One of the issues (other than this) some people had during the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor boxing match -- which went down last Saturday (Aug. 26, 2017) in Las Vegas, Nevada — was referee Robert Byrd’s lengthy pre-fight instructions that seemed to be directed to “Notorious.”
Instagram user DJ Meechy Meech seized the opportunity to have a little fun with the lengthy speech, pairing Byrd’s instructions with his very own hilarious version with some clever lip syncing.
“Alright, listen up Cocky McGregee. I’m here for Floyd Mayweather, not you. If you even touch Mayweaher I will disqualify your bitch-ass. You heard me, boy? And, if you try some UFC shit, I’ll swing on you my damn self. Alright? So, fuck you, and fuck Ireland you little leprechaun-looking motherfucker. If you think you’re going to win this shit, you stupid. Ain’t no way you’re going to win this shit, I don’t give a fuck about you. You should’ve stayed your dumbass in the UFC, bitch. I don’t work for you, I work for Floyd. So if Floyd hits you a few times, it’s an automatic TKO. So Floyd can hit you anywhere belwo the belt. If you even touch Floyd’s belt, you disqualified. Alright. You ready to take this ‘L?’ You ready to get this win? Alright Floyd, beat his ass.”
McGregor can’t seem to get everyone’s love despite a valiant effort.
Mayweather went on to defeat McGregor in the tenth round via technical knockout in a stoppage that was criticized by many ... “Notorious” included. McGregor will now likely return to the Octagon for his next combat venture to defend his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight title. As to who will welcome “Notorious” back to the cage, that still remains a mystery.
