The Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor superfight is right around the corner on August 26th and festivities got underway today, starting with the 'Grand Arrival' of both fighters to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. No one was quite sure what that entailed. Would one or both fighters speak? Would there be an unofficial face off?
We don't know what was planned, but what wasn't planned definitely became the highlight of the afternoon: McGregor and Mayweather's entourages ended up meeting and nearly scuffling, with security getting into the middle of things and pulling everyone apart.
It wasn't the only confrontation that went down, either. Embittered former McGregor sparring partner and Showtime commentator Paulie Malignaggi also got in McGregor's face and the two went back and forth. Malignaggi has made it known that he wants to fight McGregor next, and it seems like he's not interested in taking no for an answer.
Strap yourselves in, folks. There's still the rest of the week to go, and things are only getting crazier.
