Video: Brock Lesnar crushed under a table, wins SummerSlam match anyway

Any hope we had of seeing former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight titleholder Brock Lesnar return to mixed martial arts (MMA) in 2017 was quickly crushed last night (Sun., Aug. 20, 2017) at the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) SummerSlam pay-per-view (PPV) event inside Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

In much the same way Lesnar was crushed by Fatal 4-Way opponent Braun Strowman.

That’s because the part-time (and part-violent) pro wrestler retained his Universal Title in a match that also featured Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe, so unless something wacky happens later tonight on Monday Night RAW, the chance of Lesnar abandoning his championship post in the land of make believe for a full UFC training camp — and inclusion in United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) — is remote.

He needs at least six-months of drug-free testing (like this guy).

That's a shame, because combat sports fans seemed to be buzzing about the possibility of Lesnar welcoming reigning light heavyweight champion Jon Jones to the promotion’s biggest weight class in what could have been the equivalent to this upcoming spectacle but alas, it was not meant to be.
