Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight bruiser Alexey Oleynik was expecting to fight legendary power puncher Mark Hunt, just as soon as the “Super Samoan” put pen to paper.
I guess the New Zealander never got the memo.
“Hey Alexey Oleynik never heard about any fight with you, but if I did I’d beat you silly anyway,” Hunt wrote on Facebook. “I want Fabricio Werdum, everyone message Fabricio and tell him I want to dance.”
Hunt (13-11-1, 1 NC), fresh off his destruction of Derrick Lewis at UFC Fight Night 110, is looking to avenge his loss to Werdum after “Vai Cavalo” bounced him from the heavyweight title hunt by way of second-round knockout way back at UFC 180.
Werdum (21-7-1), who went on to capture the crown from Cain Velasquez — only to cough it up against Stipe Miocic — is currently available after dropping a majority decision to Alistair Overeem just last month.
If the Brazilian passes, perhaps Hunt can reconsider his Oleynik fight. “The Boa Constrictor” (55-10-1) is coming off back-to-back submission victories, including his UFC 213 strangulation of Travis Browne.
What say you?
